The New York Times tweeted out a story about Pakistani youth activist Malala Yousafzai in Urdu on Tuesday.

While the story received a number of retweets, many English speakers were confused.

“Can I dial ‘1’ for English?” wrote one.

Another added: “English please.”

While another wrote: “Something tells me this is messed up and maybe you got hacked.”

The New York Times story was about Yousafzai’s transformation from a schoolgirl to youth activist. She was shot in the head by Taliban militants last year and survived.
