Spurs continue it’s late first half run into the second half with a 9-2 spurt to start the quarter, extending the lead to 59 – 46 with 8:21 left. Danny Green hits another three and a pair of free throws in the process. Green now has 13 points in the game off of 4 of 8 shooting.
After the red-hot Mike Miller keeps Miami within striking distance with another pair of threes, San Antonio responds with a 11-0 run to blow the game open at 73 – 52 with 2:54 left.
The aforementioned Miller has hit all five of his threes, but is the lone bright spot for the Heat. LeBron James has really struggled, hitting just six of 17 shots, meanwhile the Heat’s leading-scorer in Game 2, Mario Chalmers hasn’t hit any of his five attempts and has four turnovers. James did redeem himself a bit, scoring nine points in the last 1:36 to cut the lead to 78-63.
For the Spurs, Tim Duncan (12 points, 14 rebounds) and Kawhi Leonard (12 points, 11 rebounds) already have double-doubles.
