Morgan Dixon, the girlfriend of New York City doctor Craig Spencer, is in quarantine after he underwent testing for the deadly virus.
Dixon is one of four people that are at risk of contracting the disease after having contact with Spencer after he began showing symptoms on Thursday.
Spencer came back from a trip to Guinea ten days ago but complained of nausea and a 103 degree Fahrenheit fever late Thursday morning around 10 a.m. He quickly contacted officials, who came to transport him to Bellevue Hospital, health officials told reporters at a press conference later Thursday.
Spencer tested positive for the disease.
The New York Daily News was the first to break the story about Spencer.
The paper reported that Spencer and Dixon lived together. She arrived at the hospital when Spencer was quarantined and she was quarantined as well.

Three other people had contact with Spencer when he was showing symptoms. They will have the choice to go into the hospital under quarantine, or to stay at home under quarantine, said Department of Health official Dr. Mary Travis Bassett
Ebola, which is spread through contact with an infected person’s bodily fluids, has killed thousands of people in Africa. Only three people had been diagnosed in the U.S., and one has died: a Liberian man in Dallas.
Health officials and elected officials said at the press conference that they’re confident Spencer will recover quickly.
The two nurses who contracted the disease from Duncan have almost fully recovered.
