NEW YORK—A penthouse in Monaco is set to redefine luxury and become the world’s most expensive when it goes on sale next year. It will occupy five floors atop Tour Odeon, a 49-floor, twin-tower luxury project that will become Monaco’s tallest building upon completion. The penthouse features an enormous rooftop pool with a water-slide and floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views.

One estimate posted on the SkyNewsHD website prices the property at $386 million.

Monaco is the world’s second smallest and the most densely-populated country. It is situated in Cote d'Azur, most expensive real estate destination in the world. Monaco’s advantageous tax environment and security make it a magnet for the world’s wealthy elite.

According to a Christie’s world luxury market report, 95 percent of property purchases in Cote d‘Azur are a buyer’s second or additional residence. The report also rated Cote d’Azur as the area with the highest prices per square foot for real estate in the world.
