The hunt for Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 in the Indian Ocean hasn’t yielded any results, said a Wednesday update from the Australian agency leading the search.

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau stated more seafloor was mapped out, and it noted “the seafloor in the search area had never previously been mapped in detail.”

Morea than 1,000 square miles of the seabed has been mapped out by two vessels--which is about the size of five Lake Tahoes--the body of water in Northern California’s Sierra Nevada mountain range.

As NBC notes, the sonar search for the wreckage follows a 58,000-square-mile bathymetric survey, which is about the size of Illinois.
