Minecraft for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One won't include "infinite" worlds.

In the latest update on the game, 4J Studios told an inquiring fan on Twitter that work on the next-gen versions of the popular game is going "fine."

"Working with Sony/Microsoft on world size – not 'infinite' due to save size limits, but a lot bigger than PS3/Xbox 360," it said.

The studio previously announced that players will be able to import saved world from PlayStation 3 to Playstation 4 and from Xbox 360 to Xbox One.

There aren't expected to be big difference between the PS4 and Xbox One versions, for which there is still no release date.

Sony did recently announce that PS3, PS4, and PS Vita would be getting retail versions of the game before September.

The Xbox One version will reportedly be released before the PS4 version. The price for the next-gen versions may be $59.96.

Along with the announcement trailer that was released in June of last year, it was said:

"Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will deliver the Minecraft experience to Xbox One. Building off the hugely successful Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, the edition on Xbox One will give players larger maps for bigger adventures, expanded multiplayer features, and feature enhancements powered by the Xbox One platform. Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will be available within the Xbox One launch window."
