A gas pipeline in Milford, located in Ellis County, Texas, exploded on Thursday and smoke could be seen for miles, according to reports. Parts of the town were reportedly being evacuated.

Footage taken by CBS DFW’s helicopter crew shows smoke from 30 miles away.

Photos uploaded to Twitter also show black smoke near Interstate 35.

WFAA reporter Rebecca Lopez said that the mayor of Milford confirmed that the entire town is being evacuated to Italy, Texas.

Emergency crews were on the scene, it added.

Milford fire officials have said there were no known injuries.

The town, which has a population of around 700, is located around 50 miles from Dallas close to the city of Waxahachie.
