A Methodist Health Care building has been evacuated after a fire that drew around 40 units and 85 firefighters.

The “fire” turned out to be a bunch of smoke that was likely caused by a malfunctioning air conditioning unit, reported Phil Anaya with KENS5.

The nine patients evacuated are being transferred to other medical facilities.

There are no reported injuries at this time.
