Mercury can be spotted on Wednesday in the evening sky.
Astronomy.co.uk points out that the closest planet to the Sun can be spotted in the west-northwest around 40 minutes after sunset. It is located to the upper left of Venus.
However, one might need binoculars to spot Mercury.
Space.com reported that Mercury never gets far from the Sun, meaning that it is lost in the Sun’s glare.
The “greatest elongation”--or the farthest Mercury is from the Sun--is slated to take place on June 12. On Monday, Venus, Mercury, and a crescent moon will form patterns for several nights.
