Two people won the massive $380 million Mega Millions jackpot prize on Tuesday Jan. 4, according to lottery officials.
“Two tickets matched all six numbers to split the jackpot,” the lottery posted. “Those tickets were purchased in Idaho and Washington.”
Lottery officials, on their website, noted that Tuesday’s drawing was “even larger than expected.” It was originally set at $355 million, several reports said.
Also, 67 people got five of the numbers right and will each take home a $250,000 prize.
The Mega Millions lottery was held in 41 states and Washington DC. It was the second largest in US history.
The odds of picking the right numbers in the lottery drawing was at around 1 in 176 million, according to AFP.
