Margaret Chin Wins Democratic Primary in Manhattan’s City Council District 1

Margaret Chin has won the Democratic primary in Manhattan’s City Council District 1 on Tuesday.

Chin has 58.6 percent of the votes as of 11:08 p.m. with 99 percent of the precincts reporting.

Her challenger, Jenifer Rajkumar, had 41.4 percent.

Chin was the incumbent. Her district encompasses Manhattan’s Chinatown.
