A police shooting in the Ronald Reagan State Building in downtown Los Angeles prompted a street closure, local media reported.
The Los Angeles Police Department said that Spring Street between Third and Fourth streets was closed down in the wake of the shooting, the Los Angeles Times reported.
A California Highway Patrol officer shot at a person inside the building at 6 a.m. local time.
The officer was unharmed, and the condition of the person who was shot by the officer is not known, according to the Times.
But ABC7 reported that the man died in the incident.
The Reagan building was also shut down due to an investigation, ABC7 reported.

No one else was injured, and police said that there were no other suspects wanted in the case.
