Maj. Richard Winters, World War II Hero, Dies at Age 92

Maj. Richard Winters, the U.S. Army commander whose heroism during World War II inspired the book and TV series “Band of Brothers”, died. Maj. Winters was 92. After his tenure in the Army, Maj. Winters lived a quiet life until the series was published.
