Madeline Dorcich and Emily Dorcich were reported missing on Tuesday by their father after the sisters were last seen in San Jose, California near Del Mar High School on Sunday night.

Chuck Dorcich said on a Facebook page that he’s not sure if there has been foul play, and that he is looking into reports that the girls have been found.

“We are still looking into the reports that the kids have been found. As of right now, we CAN NOT confirm this to be true,” he said. “Again, these reports are UNCONFIRMED. Please continue to pray and to keep an eye out for Madeline and Emily. We'll post details as they become available. Thank you.”

The San Jose Police Department has been notified, but a Amber Alert hasn’t been issued because he says that Amber Alerts are reserved for “high danger” events like a kidnapping.

“Like a kidnapping where the kidnapped was witnessed being thrown into a car, for example,” he said. “Also for an amber alert to work, you need a car description, make, model, color and , hopefully, a licence plate number. There was no car involved that we know of and nobody saw them being forced into a car.”

Madeline is 16 years old, 5'1", and weighs 105 lbs. She has blonde hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing dark jeans and a dark gray hooded sweatshirt.

Emily is 13 years old, 5'3", and weighs 120 lbs. She also has blonde hair and blue eyes, and was last seen in dark jeans and a graphic t-shirt.

The girls were last seen at Del Mar High School around 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 13.

Anyone with information is asked to call the San Jose Police Department.
