At least one person was killed and another two were injured during an attack in the German town of Reutlingen on Sunday, according to local media reports.
The man killed a woman near a kebab shop.
The man was identified as a 21-year-old Syrian refugee, reported German news agency DPA and Reuters.
Photos posted on Bild showed a bearded man, handcuffed, on the ground with his face bloody and hands bloodied. A large blade was seen on the ground.
The man was known to police, according to Bild.
Reutlingen is about 20 miles south of Stuttgart.
