Lisa Irwin, missing from Kansas City, Missouri, could be the mysterious girl found in Greece.

The girl, known as Maria, was found on Oct. 16, after police raided a Roma settlement.

The girl’s alleged parents looked nothing like her, prompting a DNA test.

Maria is now being held by Greece officials, who appealed to the world to help find Maria’s actual identity.

Lisa Irwin vanished in 2011, and is believed to have been abducted.

The FBI told the Huffington Post that it’s possible Maria is Irwin, but that officials are skeptical.

“Lisa Irwin would be turning 3 in November. The child that they are reporting in Greece is in the age range between 4 and 6,” Bridget Patton, a spokeswoman for the FBI’s Kansas City office, said.

The Daily Telegraph reported that Irwin’s parents have contacted Greek authorities.

John Picerno, a lawyer for the parents, said: “We enquire about every child that is found and fits the age profile of Lisa. We investigate all leads. I don’t have any further comment at this stage.”
