A Legend Of Zelda Wii U game called “Zelda: Shards of Nightmare” is allegedly supposed to be shown at E3 in June, but it’s most likely fake.
The Mirror newspaper says the new Zelda game is probably not real, saying that the list that contains the title isn’t really accurate. “We’re going to say now that we don’t think any of this is true, but since it’s already widely passed around online we can’t really ignore it. It’s not clear where the photocopied list below first turned up, with no website or forum that we’re aware of claiming responsibility for acquiring it,” the newspaper writes.
“A new Zelda game is of course widely rumoured to be coming to E3 and the name The Legend Of Zelda: Shard Of Nightmare (Wii U) seems believable enough, but given the rest of the list we don’t think there’s any insider knowledge at work with any of this,” The Mirror writes.
The rumor allegedly based on a leaked document that shows games that were expected to be shown at E3. The Zelda game was the only surprising one, and has the odd name “Shards of Nightmare.”
The leak appears to have been produced in a sloppy manner, according to iDigitalTimes a few days ago. The document also had incorrect names of other Nintendo titles, meaning it’s probably not official.
