LeAnn Rimes, the 28-year-old country singer-songwriter and actress, is engaged to 37-year-old actor Eddie Cibrian.
“For those who haven’t read, Eddie and I got engaged over the holidays. That’s the news. It’s for real this time and the first time EVER!” Rimes tweeted at 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 27.
Rimes’s publicist, Rhett Usry, told People magazine on Tuesday that the two “were engaged over the holidays and are very happy.”
“So funny, my dear publicist is the same rep for Natalie Portman and me,” Rimes tweeted on Monday. Portman also got engaged over the holidays to her Black Swan choreographer Benjamin Millepied.
Rimes and Cibrian starred in the 2009 Lifetime original TV movie Northern Lights.
