Knott’s Berry Farm in Orange County, California was the site of a roller coaster accident on Thursday night.
Authorities say that 11 people were injured when two trains collided with each other at the station where people get on and off.
The roller coaster in question was the Pony Express. A spokesperson with the park told the Orange County Register that a train leaving the station was not able to climb a hill and it rolled backwards into another train.
Nine people on board the moving train and a person getting on a parked train were injured in the incident. All victims were taken to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the cause of the accident is unknown and authorities launched a probe into the incident.
No previous problems with the two-year-old roller coaster had been reported, park officials said.
