The New York Knicks are preparing for the 2014-15 season opener and the news and rumors are ramping up.

Check out the latest buzz below.

Anthony Would Love to Play With Kobe

A recent report indicated that a number of players declined to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers because Kobe Bryant is a difficult teammate, but Carmelo Anthony has come forward to say he'd love to play with Kobe.

“Hell no. Of course not,” Anthony said after being asked if he had any misgivings about playing with Bryant

“If I thought that [playing for the Lakers] was the right situation for me from an overall perspective as far as having a team there, then I would have looked at that situation more in-depth,” he told ESPN, which alleged in an article that’s subsequently been widely slammed that Kobe’s a bad teammate.

“I just felt more comfortable staying here in New York. But as far as playing with him ... I’m here now but I would always love to play with Kobe.”

Anthony said that while Bryant wasn’t at a meeting Anthony had with the Lakers in July, he and Bryant had several conversations outside of the meeting.

“He wasn’t calling me every day and like, ‘Get over here! I want you here!’” Anthony said. “We had conversations about different situations whether it was in New York or in L.A., but it wasn’t to the point where it was non-stop calling or texting or stuff like that.”
