Jim Knight, the chef fired from the Plough Pub in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom, has revealed he was behind the tweets describing the firing on the Pub’s Twitter account.
Knight created the account, and tweeted about what happened through it when he was fired.
“We'd like to inform you that we’ve just fired our head chef,” the first tweet read.
“We don’t care that he has a 7 1/2 month old baby daughter,” the second said.
“Yeah a week before Christmas!” the next tweet read.
“Unfortunately he wanted to have a weekend off this month and Christmas Day this year for family commitments so we thought we'd sack him.”
So anyway come on down and continue to pay a premium for Australian sirloins, New Zealand lamb and everything else that is bought from asda. Happy Christmas everyone!”
Knight later said that he was behind the account.
And his newfound fame from the tweets landed him a new job at The Shephard’s Crook, where he announced that he will have Christmas Day off.
The restaurant said via Twitter: “@chefjimknight Welcome to The Shepherd’s Crook Jim - your misfortune is our very good fortune!!! Enjoy your Xmas Day with your new baby!!”
