Jill Duggar’s wedding to Derick Dillard set a ratings record for TLC.

The wedding episode, which was the season 9 finale for 19 Kids and Counting, garnered a series-record of 4.4 million viewers.

The episode featured Jill and Derick getting married, sharing their first kiss, and being congratulated by family and friends.

The episode also scored a 3.0 rating with women 25-54 and women 18-49, beating the popular and violent FX show Sons of Anarchy in both overall viewers and that demographic, reported Deadline.

“Despite a shockingly rogue wedding ceremony — the couple did not wait until the ceremony began to see each other on their wedding day and other superstition nose-thumbings too horrifying to mention — the episode was TLC’s most-viewed telecast in four years.”

However, Sons of of Anarchy did beat out 19 Kids in the overall 18-49 demographic (2.0 to 1.5).

The two programs were the most watched cable series episodes on Tuesday night, by far. NBA basketball on TNT came next with 2.4 million overall viewers and a 1.3 rating in the demographic.
