Colleen LaRose, 46, appeared in U.S. District Court in Philadelphia on March 18 to face charges that she conspired to kill Lars Vilks, a Danish cartoonist, committed identity theft, offered to recruit women to marry terrorists, and stole her boyfriend’s passport.
She pleaded not guilty. Public defenders will represent LaRose when her case comes to trial. She dubbed herself “Jihad Jane” in Internet postings.
