An Aeroméxico flight bound for San Francisco was forced to make an emergency landing on Sunday, Aug. 27, because a passenger started screaming and attacked crew members and other passengers.
Laura Aceves told The Mercury News that the flight was normal until a drunken passenger became disruptive.
“The crew asked him first to be quiet, but the passenger was harassing people on the plane,” she said. “We landed and you could see (the authorities) through the windows.”
Aceves took out her phone and recorded the incident.
In the video, a well dressed man is seen acting in an extremely aggressive manner as security guards attempt to remove him from the plane.
“It took them 30 to 40 minutes to get him out of his seat and off the plane. He was hitting and punching other passengers as they were trying to drag him out. He was under the influence, and you could smell the alcohol on him,” Aceves said.
The AeroMexico flight made the emergency landing at Guadalajara International Airport.
The man squeezed a small child nearby at one point, but authorities managed to intervene.
