Jamison Gray is the baby who was left in a hot car in Phoenix by his father Daniel Gray and died as a result of it, said police officials on Thursday night.
Gray died on August 28.
Police said that Jamison’s father left him in a vehicle outside a sports pub near Scottsdale and Thunderbird roads on the afternoon of August 28, reported the Arizona Republic.
Daniel Bryant Gray, the father, a kitchen manager at the pub, “lost track of time” while checking on business there, Police spokesman Tommy Thompson said.
By the time he came back, Jamison was unresponsive, and attempts to bring him back to life didn’t work. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital soon after.
Temperatures in Phoenix were about 100 degrees at the time, but car interior temperatures soar once the air conditioning is turned off.
