The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision Blog listed British actor Jamie Bell as the first among potential candidates to replace Tobey Maguire as Spider-man in the Spider-man franchise. The movie will be filmed in 3D.
Born in 1986 in Bilingham, England, Jamie Bell began his career as an actor in Billy Elliot, starring as the title character of the same name in the movie. The role led him to the Best Actor in a Leading Role of the British Academy Film Award in 2000. According to his official website, Bell is currently filming American movie Jane Eyre with actress Mia Wasikowska, who appeared as Alice in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland.
Bell is also known as an ex-boyfriend of American actress Evan Rachel Wood, who appeared in TV series “American Gothic” and “Once Again.” According to a report from Faded Youth, the 22-year-old actress is engaged to famous rock star Marilyn Manson, whom she dated since she broke up with Jamie Bell at the end of 2006.
