An Illinois woman who faked ovarian cancer to get attention and tens of thousands of dollars in donations has been sentenced to three years in prison for fraud. 

Alissa Jackson, a 32 year old mother of five, took more than $50,000 in online and community fundraising efforts, Jennifer Huelsmann, a close friend of Jackson, told NBC News.
