Officials say an Idaho pastor who gave the invocation at a weekend campaign rally for GOP presidential hopeful Ted Cruz is in fair condition after he was shot six times.

Pastor Tim Remington was attacked outside of The Altar church in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, after services on Sunday, a day after he spoke at the Cruz rally.

Altar Church outreach Pastor John Padula says Remington is expected to recover.

Police are looking for 30-year-old Kyle Andrew Odom of Coeur d'Alene, a decorated former Marine. No motive has been established.

Padula says the suspect has no known connection to the church and may be suffering from mental health issues.
