While satellite images indicated that Tropical Storm Humberto has stopped intensifying, the storm could still develop into Hurricane Humberto.

The storm is expected to turn northwestward then north in the next 36 hours, then back west after another day or two, according to the National Weather Service.

It could still pick up speed, though.

Humberto is off the west coast of Africa at the moment, about 150 miles west of the Cape Verde Islands. It has maximum wind speeds of 65 miles per hour which could increase to 100 miles per hour as the storm moves, reported the U.S. News and World Report.
