It’s important to provide your body with much-needed protein and nutrients following a tough workout, which is exactly why nutrition expert Arielle Haspel created this tasty post-workout cookies and cream shake. It’s full of potassium, protein, and omega-3’s to help your body recover and feel great, plus it tastes delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup coconut water (optional)
  • 1 tbsp. raw cacao nibs
  • 1 tbsp. cashew butter or almond butter
  • 2 dates (or 1 banana to sweeten)
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 handful ice
  • 1 handful kale (optional for added nutrients and fiber)
  • 1 tbsp. hemp seeds (optional for added protein)
  •  1 tbsp. chia seeds (optional for added protein)

Method:

1. First add handful of ice in a blender, then add 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk, as almond milk is a good diary alternative.

2. Next, add a little bit of coconut water as it is high in electrolytes and is naturally sweet.

3. Then put in cacao nibs, almond butter, dates, handful of kale, and avacados. Avacados are used to prevent wrinkles and helps in a smooth skin.

4. Finally, add some hemp seeds and chia seeds and blend it all together.

A perfect smoothie to re-energize you after a long work-out. You can also make this smoothie for a dessert as it is creamy and delicious.
