The Android 5.0 Lollipop update isn’t officially available for the Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 just yet, but that doesn’t mean you can’t install it already on some of these devices, as some developers over at xda posted on the forums AOSP-based Lollipop builds for the Nexus 5, Nexus 4 and Wi-Fi Nexus 7 (2013) version.

FROM EARLIER: Android 5.0 Lollipop is here… but you can’t have it just yet

Recognized developer OldDroid posted Lollipop download and installation instructions on xda-developers, while recognized developers C-o-M and scrosler worked on Lollipop for Nexus 4 and Nexus 7, respectively — see source links below for more information.

Obviously, users not familiar with such unofficial manual ROM installs should stay clear of upgrading their Nexus device to Lollipop this way. Furthermore, we remind you that BGR advises against installing unofficial software on your devices, procedures which could have unexpected consequences.

Google is now said to release the Lollipop over-the-air (OTA) update to Nexus devices starting with November 12th — a few days ago, the company pushed the Android 5.0 code to AOSP.
