On the morning of New Year’s Day 2009, the Service Center for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in Hong Kong and other organizations held a parade and rally at King’s Road Playground in North Point, Hong Kong, to commemorate 47 million Chinese who have quit the CCP.
Participants of the rally called for people to disintegrate the CCP in order to end the sufferings of the Chinese people, forge a new era to restore upright traditional Chinese culture, and bring peace and harmony to China and its people. The theme of the rally was “Spread the Righteous Spirit for the New Year and Quit the CCP to Save China.”
The Service Center published a public statement saying, “On the eve of 2009, close to 48 million Chinese have withdrawn from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party has created a massive wave of quitting the CCP, and Chinese people have responded by breaking away from delusion and fear, taking the right path of spiritual awakening.”
