Hong Kong League and National Championships

Following on from the HKFC Meco PSA/WSA 25 tournament the previous week, Hong Kong went straight into its League and National Championships.

HONG KONG—Following on from the HKFC Meco PSA/WSA 25 tournament the previous week, Hong Kong went straight into its League and National Championships.

The League Championships concluded last Saturday June 6 and the main draw for the Men’s and Women’s National Championships started on Monday. These tournaments have now reached the quarter finals stages with the tournaments finishing this coming weekend.

League Championships
In the finals of the League Championships Men’s Grade A was won by Eric, Ho Chu Him who beat Ma Tsz Lok 11-7, 8-11, 11-8, 11-9; Men’s Grade B – Au Lap Man defeated Michael, Au Cheuk Fung 11-8, 12-10, 6-11, 4-11, 12-10; Men’s Grade C – Simon, Yip Shing On overcame Wai Hok Chun 4-11, 11-3, 11-7, 11-9 and Men’s Grade D – Lin Wai Kit won against Lam Yun Kan 11-7, 7-11, 11-8, 9-11, 11-8.

Women’s Grade A – Phoebe, Leung Hei Ting defeated Kirstie, Wong Po Yui 6-11, 11-3, 11-5, 6-11, 11-4 and Women’s Grade B – Kwong Tik Yin beat Li Yuen Yau 11-4, 11-3, 11-3.

In the Masters competitions: Masters A – is still to be decided between Anaud Amar and Taylor Robbie; Masters B – Froidevaux Elliot beat Chan Yui Ki 11-8, 13-11, 11-2, 8-11, 11-2: Masters C – Marc Meldrum defeated David Mallinson 11-5, 9-11, 11-8,10-12, 11-5: Masters D – Peter Hill beat Hugh Dyus 11-3, 11-6, 12-10 and Masters E – Ajay Hazari beat William Fan Ying Wai 12-10, 11-9, 9-11, 13-11.
