Hillary Duff Weds Hockey Player Mike Comrie

Hillary Duff wed hockey player Mike Comrie over the weekend in Santa Barbara, California, according to reports on Sunday.

Hillary Duff wed hockey player Mike Comrie over the weekend in Santa Barbara, California, according to reports on Sunday.

Duff, 22, and Comrie, 29, tied the knot near San Ysidro Ranch at a $29 million estate, joined by 100 people who are close to the couple, Us Magazine reported.

During the candlelit ceremony, the couple exchanged vows beneath an arch of flowers.
Hillary Duff wore a Vera Wang gown and had her hair tied up in a bun.

“Absolutely stunning,” a spectator said to the magazine, of the wedding. “They thought of every last detail and it was an incredible sight.”

The couple, who got engaged in February, have been together since 2007. Comrie proposed to her on vacation in Hawaii, presenting her with a 14-carat diamond ring.

Duff rose to fame while playing the title role in the television show “Lizzie McGuire.” She eventually moved to making movies and recording pop music, with her singles reaching number one in the charts several times.

Comrie currently plays center for the Edmonton Oilers. The marriage follows another recent ‘hockey and Hollywood wedding’ between American Idol singer Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher who plays for the Ottawa Senators.
