“Grand Theft Auto V” for the PC might be out in November, according to a report this week. However, that’s been changed to Dec. 31.
PC Gamer posted a screenshot of Danish retailer Coolshop, suggesting that “GTA V” will be out on the PC Nov. 14, 2014--likely in Europe. Around that time, the game will likely be out in the U.S.
The entry on Coolshop might be a placeholder, but as PC Gamer notes, Nov. 14 is a Friday. Games usually are released on Friday in Europe.
Coolshop recently changed the date to Dec. 31, 2014.
The retailer, however, didn’t show the release dates for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Rockstar said the game would be “coming this fall” when it made its announcement during E3 in June.
The company on its Newswire said it verified 10 new jobs, including ones from the “I’m Not a Hipster” DLC. “Put the climbing ability of your new Dubsta to the test in this point-to-point Race where roads are for the weak. Starting out on Chumash Beach, get to the edge of the Grand Senora Desert as the crow flies, crossing mountains and scaling vertiginous slopes under twilight,” reads one of them.
The listing discovery comes about two weeks after Lindsay Lohan sued the makers of the “Grand Theft Auto” video games. The actress says the latest installment used her image and created a character based on her without her permission.
Lohan’s lawsuit was filed Wednesday in a Manhattan court. “Grand Theft Auto V” game maker Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. and subsidiary Rockstar Games declined to comment.
“Grand Theft Auto V” was released in September. Sales topped $800 million on its first day.
Lohan’s suit says a character named Lacey Jonas is an “unequivocal” reference to the “Mean Girls” and “Freaky Friday” star.
The suit says Lohan’s image, voice and styles from her clothing line are depicted. It says the game features West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont hotel, where Lohan once lived.
The character also seeks help skirting paparazzi.
