Elisabeth Hasselbeck Gives Birth

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, co-host of ABC’s The View and wife of NFL player Tim Hasselbeck, delivered a healthy baby boy on Sunday. Isaiah Timothy was welcomed as the television personality’s third child in a New York City hospital, weighing 7 pounds and 7 ounces. Both Mom and baby were reportedly “doing great,” according to the Associated Press. 

Paula Abdul in High Demand

Ever since Paula Abdul announced her departure from the hit show “American Idol,” the phone has apparently been ringing off the hook. ABC is the most recent entity to publicly declare its wish to have the talent come to the network. Head of programming, Stephen McPherson recently stated that he’s love to see Abdul at ABC, presumably as part of the show, “Dancing with the Stars.” Abdul is a former dancer and choreographer. 

Ben Stein Out at New York Times

Ben Stein, most famous perhaps for his role as the monotone teacher is the film “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” will no longer be writing his regular business column for the New York Times. Stein, a lawyer and economist, who also enjoyed success as the former host of Comedy Central’s “Win Ben Stein’s Money” was let go because of his recent commercial work. The personality is working as a pitchman for “FreeScore.com,” which The Times has deemed a conflict of interest. 

Brother’s Tribute to Michael Jackson to Be Released

Jermaine Jackson performance of his brother’s favorite song, “Smile,” at Michael Jackson’s public memorial will soon be released for download via Apple’s music website, iTunes. The later star’s estate has entered into a distribution agreement with Apple, which allows the selling of both the audio and video of the song. 

Kelsey Grammer Discusses Health Scare

Actor Kelsey Grammer, best known for playing the character Frasier Crane on both “Cheers,” and its spin-off, “Frasier,” is opening up about the heart attack he had last year. Grammer pointed to stress as the cause of the event last May, which he said almost killed him. His health troubles followed closely on the heels of the cancellation of his latest show, CBS’s “Back to You.” The Actor told reporters, “It was not a great year...Maybe it was my time to get re-tooled a bit. It was probably a great thing. I am now healthier, stronger, faster...Things are really looking good.”
