Global Q&A: ‘Do you think more people should grow their own fruits and vegetables?’
Lima, Peru: Elizabeth Cabero, 50, Psychologist: I would recommend growing your own fruit and vegetables, if the person has a place and the time, but now most people are busy with their personal activities or work. They would eat healthier since they wouldn’t be exposed to any toxic substances that are used today. Most [people] would choose natural fertilizers or organic vegetables and fruit plants. It is a good idea, but you have to dedicate yourself to it. As a psychologist, I would recommend this activity to the elderly, because it is a good therapy and is stimulating.
