WEST NEW YORK, N.J.—A 7-year-old girl has been killed after a hit-and-run driver struck her while she was walking with her mother.
Hudson County Deputy Chief Prosecutor Leo Hernandez says the girl was pronounced dead at a hospital after she was hit by an SUV Monday morning in West New York.
The girl’s mother was being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Escobar says police are looking for a black Chevrolet Tahoe.
