Georgia Rep. Vernon Jones Switches to Republican Party

Georgia state Rep. Vernon Jones, who was elected as a Democrat, announced on Jan. 6 that he’s joining the Republican Party.

“Now more than ever, the Republican Party is in desperate need of leaders that know how to fight. I know how to fight,” he said in a statement.
