George Zimmerman allegedly stole a flat-screen television, seats, and a bed from his in-laws, according to a report on Wednesday. However, police said that no theft charges were filed.
Florida’s WFTV said it obtained a police report in which his mother-in-law, Machelle Dean, claims Zimmerman stole property from their home in Lake Mary, Fla., last month. His wife filed for divorce earlier in the year.
Zimmerman, who was acquitted of manslaughter and second-degree murder charges in July, moved out of the Lake Mary home.
Dean said in the report that when Zimmerman was supposed to leave, she found that a $2,800 television, seats worth $3,000, and a bed was taken.
Officials carried out an investigation but there were no theft charges filed.
The police report states that “Dean advised she did not give Mr. Zimmerman permission to take the property; in fact, she explicitly told Mr. Zimmerman not to take the property.”
