Genevieve Cormier, a 19-year-old from New Brunswick who was last seen on Sept. 29, was found dead on a beach in Saint John.
Cormier, a student at Saint John High School, was last seen in a parking lot near the Reversing Falls, but was found dead near Anthony’s Cove Road.
A woman walking her dog called police after she saw the body, reported CBC.
Cormier’s body has been taken to Saint John Regional Hospital for an autopsy; police haven’t ruled out foul play.
Family friend Amanda Hensey said anyone with information about what happened should come forward.
“If anybody has anything, especially at this point now where we know something did happen to her, if anybody has been holding on to something they didn’t think was important--any suspicious activity, anything like that--please, please contact the police,” she said.
