“Free Hernandez” hats were worn by NFL brothers Mike and Maurkice Pouncey, who play for the Dolphins and Steelers respectively, referring to their former University of Florida teammate Aaron Hernandez, who is jailed pending trial for allegedly killing a man last month.

The Pouncey brothers wore the different colored caps while they were “in the club,” said Twitter user JazzyNice5, who tweeted at sports website Deadspin.

Later, user Mark Kaboly tweeted a different picture of the two wearing the hats.

Yahoo Sports reported that Pouncey brothers while celebrating birthdays at the Cameo club in Miami over the weekend.

The website noted the photos do not appear to be digitally manipulated, noting that other users took photos of the two.

Hernandez, a former NFL tight end, was charged with the shooting death of semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd, whose body was found less than a mile from Hernandez’s home in North Attleboro, Mass.

He was released from the Patriots as he was charged with murder. He is being held without bail.
