The highly addictive “Flappy Bird” mobile game might make a comeback with changes, but it all depends on user feedback, said the author of the game Nguyen Ha Dong, according to Bloomberg News.
Dong pulled the game from all app stores on February 9, 2014, after discovering that the game had “unexpected effects” on users.
“It causes addiction (in) people. I think it is an unexpected problem … and I have to remove it,” Dong said according to USA Today.
App stores were then flooded with similar style games, like the Flabby Bird sequel dubbed “Flappy Bird: A New Season” that made its way to the top of the app store charts. The most recent reappearance of the game comes in the form of “Flappy 2048” which uses numbers to jump though the tiles and get past the barriers, reported Huffington Post.
Flappy Bird was reportedly making $50,000 a day in advertising revenue.
