“Far Cry 4” will reportedly be released in the first half of 2015, according to reports this week.
EuroGamer said the game will be set in the Himalaya Mountains, which is a change from the tropical island settings of the previous games.
However, the game will allow players to ride elephants, reported EuroGamer, citing people close to the game.
Ubisoft is said to be looking at releasing the next “Far Cry” before the end of March 2015.
The game will also likely be showcased at Ubisoft’s yearly press conference at E3 in June.
There will likely also be PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 versions of the game.
An emphasis on hunting like in the previous installments of the “Far Cry” series will also be present in the fourth game, the report said. The world map will also be split up via outposts like in “Far Cry 3.”
Another report in January said that an employee at Ubisoft Shanghai listed the game on his resume.
“We’re totally psyched from [Far Cry 3],” Ubisoft executive Tony Key told GameSpot last year. “It’s a great brand, and now it’s got the recognition it deserves, so we’re clearly going to make another one: more on that soon.”
