A former Indiana college student dialed 911 and when cops arrived, they found her and her newborn son---who wasn’t breathing---in a bathtub.
Mikayla Munn, 21, who previously went to Manchester University was treated for the after-effects of giving birth, Indiana State Police said in a statement.
However, police said in a statement on May 2 that she was arrested for the murder of her infant.
They allege that Munn drowned her baby after giving birth in a dorm bathtub.
She claimed that she didn’t know she was pregnant, but investigators said that she searched for “home abortions” and “water births.”
Munn said that she had “fainted after giving birth” and said there was “blood everywhere.”
Due to inconsistent evidence, detectives from the North Manchester Police Department and the Indiana State Police began an investigation into the death of the baby boy, which occurred on the night of March 21.
During their investigation, they found enough evidence and probable cause to arrest Munn.
