Elaine Dang, who graduated from Torrey Pines High School in San Diego and currently lives in Nairobi, was among the multiple Americans injured in the Westgate mall attack.

68 people are dead and over 150 are injured after al-Shabab gunmen entered the mall on September 21 and began shooting people.

Dang was injured in the attack--several photos show her outside the mall with blood on her face--but is recovering in a Nairobi hospital.

“I am recovering. Thank you for all the love and support - in Kenya and overseas. Terrorism knows no religion,” she said via Twitter.

San Diego broadcaster KGTV reports that Deng works for the restaurant guide “Eat Out Kenya” and was meeting coworkers at Westgate, an upscale mall in Kenya’s capitol, when the shooting started.

Dang is 26.
