Best D-SLR Camera

Nikon D7000

Although Nikon’s D7000 digital SLR (D-SLR) camera is technically an entry-level D-SLR, it ranks among the top D-SLR cameras on the market and at a price that beats all competition.

The camera features two memory card slots similar to the Nikon D3, but uses SD cards rather than CF cards. This is nice, as it can record each photo to both cards simultaneously, and it reduces concern of losing (or accidentally deleting) your images.

The D7000 features stunning resolution and lightning-fast focus. It can shoot six frames per second, has 39 points of autofocus, and uses Nikon’s new 16.2-megapixel DX-Format CMOS Sensor. It can also record 1080p HD video with autofocus, but users should note that video on D-SLR cameras, in general, still needs some work.
