A 2.9-magnitude earthquake hit Silicon Valley on Friday evening, south of San Francisco, Calif.
The quake hit six miles from Loyola, seven miles from Saratoga, seven miles from Cupertino, and 8 miles from Los Altos.
Residents in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, and San Jose said they could feel it as well.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake had a depth of 7.1 miles.
On Twitter, people reacted.
“There was an earthquake...I’m on BART,” wrote one.
Added another: “Earthquake in Los Altos?”
