A small earthquake struck the Bay Area and was felt around Northern California on Wednesday morning.

The quake registered as 3.4 on the Richter scale and was centered around San Ramon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Twitter users reported feeling the quake at around 9:30 a.m. local time.

People on Twitter they could feel it around Alameda County and Oakland, as well as other parts of the East Bay.

“That Earthquake just scared me,” wrote one user.

Another added: “I was gigging during the earthquake.”

There were two other quakes on Tuesday that were centered around San Ramon.

The quake was 1 mile east of San Ramon and close to Dublin, Danville, and Alamo, the USGS said.
