An earthquake hit today in the Philippines, in Mindanao.

The 4.7 quake struck around 9:16 a.m. local time, which is 12 hours ahead of U.S. Eastern Daylight Time.

The quake hit 97 kilometers away from Pondaguitan; 155 kilometers away from Mati; and 197 kilometers away from Davao, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported.

It hit at a depth of 90 kilometers.
